Peter DiGemma
President & General Manager
Pete joined the WJST team in 2025, and has overall leadership responsibility for the company. He brings 30 years of general management and business development leadership experience to WJST, most recently serving as General Manager for American Asphalt Company in NJ. Pete is also a proud U.S. Air Force veteran. When he’s not out making America’s roads safer, Pete enjoys spending time with his family at the Jersey shore and working on his golf game.
Robert Hivish Jr.
Director of Operations
Robert Hivish joined WJ Surface Treatments in 2023, bringing nearly two decades of experience in highway construction and infrastructure safety. His career in the industry began while attending Penn State University, where he worked as a laborer and equipment operator on highway projects. After graduating, he spent six years in local government before returning to his true professional passion—highway construction.
Bob advanced into project management, overseeing multiple projects simultaneously and ensuring successful execution from planning through completion. In 2017, he was introduced to High Friction Surface Treatment (HFST), a specialty that quickly became the focus of his career. Embracing the opportunity to master a new and impactful safety technology, he has since dedicated himself to delivering HFST solutions that reduce roadway crashes and save lives.
As Director of Operations at WJ Surface Treatments, Bob is responsible for equipment oversight, personnel coordination, project planning, and operational readiness. His role also includes project estimating, scheduling, and maintaining strong communication with contractors, state agencies, and project owners. In addition, he serves on the ATSSA High Friction Surface Treatment Committee, where he contributes to national efforts to expand roadway safety awareness and promote effective friction treatment solutions across Departments of Transportation.
Outside of work, Bob prioritizes time with his family. He enjoys hunting, fishing, hiking, traveling, and supporting his children in the sports they are passionate about.
Justine Crego
Project Manager
Justine joined the WJ team in 2025 and is a results driven Project Manager with more than 15 years of experience strengthening operations, improving project performance, and supporting organizational growth.
She currently manages the day to day project operations, profitability, scheduling, and customer relationships. While overseeing performance in the field, she drives to ensure every project meets budget, scope, and quality expectations.
While thriving in roles where problem solving, organization, communication, and process improvement drive success. She enjoys leading teams, enhancing internal operations, and ensuring that each project is executed with clarity, accountability, and professionalism.
When not traveling the country with WJ teams making America’s roads safer, Justine enjoys spending time with family and loved ones and the great outdoors.
